Obituary: Lada Agostino, 88, of Newtown
Lada had lived in Norwalk for most of her life. She was retired from the Darien Board of Education.
NEWTOWN, CT -- Lada Agostino, age 88 of Newtown and former longtime Norwalk resident, died peacefully at Ashlar of Newtown on Sunday, June 24.
She was born on July 14, 1929 in Reggio Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late Rosario and Laura (Polito) Agostino and had lived in Norwalk for most of her life. She was retired from the Darien Board of Education.
Lada loved her family and loved to shop.

Survivors include nieces and nephews Peter and Anthony Agostino, Laura Caraway, Anne Griffin, Denise Barreca and Rita Spano. Lada was predeceased by her siblings Natale, Anthony and Alfred Agostino, Edith Barreca and Theresa Spano.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 27, 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Church or to your own church, in Lada's name.
