Obituary: Marie Elizabeth Prusak, 96, Of Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT — Marie Elizabeth Prusak, age 96, of Newtown passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Robert Prusak.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on Oct. 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Rutledge Reardon. Marie enjoyed and exhibited a deep love for her husband and all her family. Marie loved people and was always kind. Her faith was also very important to her. Marie was artistic, expressing herself through interior design and amazing, bright outfits. And she loved to travel, especially with her husband, Bob

Marie is survived by her husband of 64 years Robert; her children Robert and Suzanne; grandchildren Emily, Ashley, Katharine, Sam, Brennan and Bridget; and great-granddaughter Bailey. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Charles, Jean, Anne, Jack and Bobby.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Marie on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 30 Church Street, Redding. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bethel. Family and friends may join her immediate family prior to the funeral Mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown (Wilton), CT 06829. Lunch will be hosted following the interment.
