Obituary: Mary E. Kinzel, 95, of Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT -- Mary E. Kinzel, 95, died peacefully on June 24, 2018 at her home in Newtown.

Mary was born on October 21,1922 in Port Chester, NY and was a nurse at Greenwich Hospital, retiring in 1977. She then moved to Palm Harbor, FL where she was an active Hospice Volunteer. Mary returned to Connecticut, spending many happy years at Nunnawauk Meadows.

Mary is survived by her children, John Sullivan, of Fairfield. Margaret Sabia, of Newtown and Gail Pendergast, of Tewksbury, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean Sullivan, Jesse Sabia, Josh Sabia and Brian Pendergast, and her great-grandchildren, Lucca and A.J. Sabia. She is predeceased by Cornelius Sullivan, and Harold Kinzel.

A celebration of Mary's life will take place on Saturday, July 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Nunnawauk Meadows Community Room.
