NEWTOWN, CT — Robert D. “Bobby” Haag, Jr, died on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of 59. He lived in Sandy Hook.

Bobby was born on September 30, 1962, to Jo-Ann and Robert D. Haag, Sr.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Haag. He is survived by his brother Brian Haag, also from Sandy Hook; his niece, Emma; his nephew, George Haag of East Worcester, New York; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bobby spent his life in the food service industry. After high school, he attended Naugatuck Valley Community College and worked for the Hawley Manor Inn, Eagle Hill Rehab, and the Fireside Inn.

Bobby was an avid sports fan of the New York Mets, New York Jets, and the Danbury Whalers. He also loved music and going to concerts.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, August 3, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
