Obituary: Robert Ronald Berube (Bobby), 49, of Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT -- Mr. Robert Ronald Berube (Bobby) of Newtown, passed away at the age of 49 on July 5, 2018 in Bridgeport from complications of a hiking accident in the Fall of 2017. He was born April 11, 1969 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His mother was the late Jacqueline Berube and his Father is Robert Berube of Nicholson, PA.

Robert attended Monroe High School and Henry-Abbot Tech. High School. He was in the industrial cleaner industry as owner/operator of Magic Carpet. Robert was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Berube, grandmothers Theresa Lombardo and Cecile Berube and grandfathers Salvatore Lombardo and Robert Berube.

He is survived by his stepmother Marie Doty; Aunts Pauline Rocheleau and Joanne Dube, Uncle Raymond Berube and a circle of dear and beloved friends he called brothers and sisters. He also leaves behind his adored dog Sampson. He enjoyed hiking, climbing, travel and adventure.
