Obituary: Samuel Jack Urban, 76, Of Newtown
Sam was a member of Daytime Lodge 144 and AF & AM of Stratford and Layfette Consistory for thirty years.

NEWTOWN, CT — Samuel Jack Urban, age 76, of Newtown, passed away on July 17, after a long illness in Danbury Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, he was the oldest of six brothers and one sister.
Sam was the son of Peter and Wanda (Radozycki) Urban. He was a graduate of Masuk High School in Monroe, and the owner of Benson and Post Automotive in Fairfield. He loved to work with his hands and was proficient in automotive work for forty years. Sam was a member of Daytime Lodge 144 and AF & AM of Stratford and Layfette Consistory for thirty years. He was also a member of the Fairfield County Fish and Game Club of Newtown.

Sam was predeceased by his first wife Suzanne Prall, second wife Constance Hall, brothers Ronald, Lawrence, Gregory and sister Cecelia. He is survived by brother David and wife Doreen of Stratford, Kenneth and wife Doris of Newtown, fiancée Prudence Ann Paris, best friend and caretaker Joseph Commins and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
