'Opens The World Of Learning': Patch Newtown Teacher Spotlight

NEWTOWN, CT — Great teachers matter. In Newtown, we’re fortunate to have teachers like Mary Jo Bokuniewicz.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

She opens the world of learning to her students. She recognizes the potential of each one and encourages them to go beyond what they thought was possible. To me she works miracles in the classroom

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Mrs B. helps every student face the challenges they have and shows them that they can conquer them and reach even higher
