Oscar-Winning Actress to Headline Fundraiser for Newtown Action Alliance
The event will benefit the Newtown Action Alliance, a group formed after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
NEWTOWN, CT — Oscar-award winning actress Cate Blanchett will headline a fundraising event in New York City that will raise funds for the Newtown Action Alliance.
Blanchett, alongside her hair and makeup department head Jason Hayes, who organized the #DisarmHate rally, will be holding an evening of performances to benefit the Newtown nonprofit. The Newtown Action Alliance is a group that formed following the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012 that works to fight gun violence nationwide.
The event will be held Feb. 20 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Stonewall Inn in New York City. The event will feature the following performers:
