What is your occupation?

Self-Employed Manufacturers Rep starting in 2011 (12 years)

Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.

My wonderful Wife Nina, 3 year old son Benny, 1 year old French Bulldog named Chancho and a Daughter due very soon!

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

Vice-Chair of the Newtown Community Center Commission (currently)

Why are you seeking this office?

I am running for a seat on the Legislative Council to ensure that Newtown stays affordable for all residents by supporting fiscal responsibility.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Affordability. Speaking to residents’ young and old this was a major topic for them. The Legislative Council needs to focus on this by being fiscally responsible, having balanced commercial development to support our tax base, and to support a plan for a thriving Fairfield Hills campus. This will ensure financial stability for generations to come. I will actively engage in community outreach opportunities to continue to address how we can work together to better maintain affordability in Newtown. Being able to listen to all residents, town departments and small business owners will be a major asset in the success of the Legislative Council.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I hold a unique yet practical perspective on what I believe this town needs to thrive and succeed as well as a deep, personal investment by choosing Newtown as my forever home for my young family.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

While campaigning I tell voters I will focus on Newtown issues. Such as encouraging a plan to address the traffic congestion in town, supporting the quest for academic excellence, and getting young families like myself involved in community service.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Previously, when living in Philadelphia, I sat as the President of our Homeowners Association of 10 townhomes, bearing the responsibility of working with all homeowners to resolve any problems that arose, while keeping dues low by negotiating costs with suppliers. Sitting in this position sparked an interest in continuing to work together with both residents and suppliers to meet everyone’s needs. Currently, I am actively engaged as Vice-Chair on the Board of the Newtown Community Center Commission.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Listen more than you speak.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I love meeting and engaging with new people regardless of party affiliation. I am a firm believer in working hard to find resolutions that work for our community as a whole. Newtown First.
