Yes, I have served 2 years on the Zoning Board of Appeals

Why are you seeking this office?

As a Newtown resident for over 20 years, we raised our family here and our children attended the schools and graduated from Newtown High School. I am seeking this office to serve the community where we live, work and play.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Growth. Newtown is growing and will continue to grow. Finding the balance between residential housing and smart commercial growth while preserving the character of our town is now and will continue to be the most critical issue in years to come.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Problem-solving, I have over 30 years of experience solving problems, first in the ever-changing field of automotive technology, and the last 10 years in Real Estate.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Finding the balance between residential housing and smart commercial growth while preserving the character of our town will be my primary focus as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have been self employed for over 20 years, and that alone has taught me how to handle any situation I have encountered. Plus my experience serving my communty past and present includes a position on the Zoning Board of Appeals, past President of the Newtown Board of Realtors. I've also held multiple board positions for the CT Association of Realtors and I am a member and current Car Committee Chair for the Newtown Lions Club.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

"Look for the opportunity in every situation"

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

My local knowledge, business and real estate experience and desire to serve my community will be an asset to the Planning and Zoning Board. I am always available to hear any concerns and ideas from our fellow residents.
