Police Investigate Fatality in Sandy Hook

Police are investigating a motor vehicle incident that left a man dead on Tanglewood Lane Friday morning.

A man was killed Friday morning in front of his Tanglewood Lane home in a one-car accident, police said.

Police identified the homeowner as Samuel Lekuch, 66, of 7 Tanglewood Lane. Paramedics who responded at about 10:20 a.m. found him fatally injured, police said. Police said the investigation was continuing.

Officers were on scene for hours, and blocked media access to the cul-de-sac as they investigated what they said was an accident.

Initial reports indicated the man was found pinned underneath a motor vehicle at the residence.

Firefighters and police responded to 7 Tanglewood Lane, which is off of Route 34, and remained there into the afternoon. At about 2 p.m., a flatbed tow truck left the scene hauling a Subaru station wagon, which did not appear damaged.

The family at the home declined to comment through a police representative.
