Popular Newtown Restaurant Closing After 13 Years

The restaurant announced it will serve its last meals this weekend.

NEWTOWN, CT — A longtime Newtown restaurant will soon close its doors after more than a decade in business.

Foundry Kitchen and Tavern announced on Facebook it will have its final service on Sunday, March 29, marking the end of its 13-year run.

“Thank you to our family, employees and the Newtown community for giving us the best memories these past few years,” the statement said. “Your support during some of the most challenging times will never be forgotten.”

Located on Glen Road in Sandy Hook village, the restaurant was known for its New American cuisine.

Owners said they are focused on their final days of service and will share more information in the coming days.
