Pursuit Beyond Clinic Returns to NYA

This Friday and Saturday, the Pursuit Beyond basketball clinic will be returning to Newtown Youth Academy. The clinic is offered to girls in grades 4 through 8.

The camp directors will be former college basketball stars Brittany Hunter and Gianna Smith. Current college stars will be there as well providing additional instruction. 

"Our goal is to teach offensive skills in a team setting. For instance, we will focus on the fast break," Brittany said.

The goal is to help young players think about working as a team. 

She added the clinic is geared toward girls of "any skill level who are looking for a high energy, high intensity clinic."

They have chosen 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday in the hopes that girls involved in other sports will still be able to make it to the clinic. The focus will be on having fun while learning the working of the game of basketball. The charge for the two night clinic is $67.
