Rachael Carson and Her Impact on our Environment : FREE Zoom Program

Wednesday April 26 7:00 pm via Zoom. Register to receive the Zoom link: chboothlibrary.org

Toni McKeen introduces us to Rachael Louise Carson and describes the impact she made by heightening our awareness of the earth’s environments. Considered by many to be the finest nature writer of the 20th Century she was an American marine biologist, conservationist and author, who’s book Silent Spring is credited with advancing the environmental movement. She is remembered as the woman who challenged the idea that humans could obtain mastery over nature only by using chemicals on it. Thanks to generous funding from The Friends of the C. H. Booth Library. This program is part of our efforts to bring the 2023 UN Climate Conference in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, November 30 - December 12 to the attention of our Patrons.
