'Rally For Humanity' in Newtown
It's a protest against "the current policy of separating young children... from their immigrant parents."

NEWTOWN, CT -- A "Rally for Humanity" has been scheduled for Saturday, June 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the steps in front of Edmond Town Hall.
The purpose of the rally is to protest "the current policy of separating young children, infants at times, from their immigrant parents in order to dissuade them from seeking asylum," according to the event's Facebook page.
Organizers are requesting participating protesters "wear a crisscross white ribbon to symbolize the pure innocence of children being affected."
