Registrar of Voters Announces Office Hours
The Registrar of Voters will be open certain Saturdays in anticipation of upcoming municipal elections.

The Newtown Registrar of Voters will hold special a registration session in October and extend hours on Nov. 1 to allow residents to register to vote.
The registrars office will be opened from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat., Oct. 22 and have extended hours 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tues., Nov. 1 for residents to come into the office to register to vote.
Nov. 1 is the deadline most people must register by in order to be eligible to vote on election day, Nov. 8. Mail-in registration must carry a postmark of Oct. 25 and anyone dropping off a registration form for another person must do so by Oct. 25.

The registrars also will be correcting and revising the preliminary registry list on Oct. 4 and 11 in their office. The office is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
