Rosa Maria (Curcio) Farrell, 47, of Newtown, died December 31 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. She was born in New York City on March 18, 1967 to her parents Gisuppe and Maria Curcio. Rosa is survived by her husband Terence Farrell and her children Ryan and Caitlin of Sandy Hook, as well as her mother Maria Curcio, her sister Giuseppina (Curcio) Lam and her husband Daniel and their children Aaden and Jacob.

Rosa will be missed by her large family and many friends and neighbors who knew her to be kind, caring and generous. People will always remember her Italian three color cookies around Christmas, her pizza from scratch on Friday nights and hundreds of crocheted hats donated to the cancer center and children’s hospital at Yale.

Calling hours will be Sunday January 4 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St Newtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday January 5 at 10:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown.
