The Newtown Police Department announced the closure in a Facebook post Thursday, Sept. 24, warning drivers to expect heavy delays in the area. Police advised motorists to seek alternate routes and estimated the closure would last about an hour and a half. REDDING CENTER, CT — A Redding tradition returns this fall as the First Church of Christ, Congregational welcomes the community to its 44th Annual Artisan Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For more than four decades, the Artisan Fair has brought together neighbors, families, and visitors from across Fairfield County for a day filled with handcrafted artwork, delicious homemade food, live entertainment, shopping, children’s activities, and one of the area’s largest community tag sales. Best of all, admission is free.
<h3>Discover One-of-a-Kind Artisan Creations</h3>
Nearly 50 local and regional artisans will transform the church grounds into an outdoor marketplace featuring handcrafted jewelry, pottery, woodworking, fiber arts, photography, paintings, home décor, gourmet specialties, and much more.
“In addition to welcoming many of our favorite returning artisans, we’re excited to introduce several talented new exhibitors this year,” said Kara Morgan, Artisan Fair Coordinator. “Whether you’re beginning your holiday shopping or simply looking for something unique, you’ll find beautiful handcrafted pieces created by incredibly talented artists.”

Just across the campus, the historic Studio—an 18th-century carriage workshop—will once again host the Barn Sale, showcasing antiques, artwork, collectibles, and distinctive home furnishings.

Snakeskin Boots Band is an American Country Rock Band from Fairfield County Connecticut, with a mix of original songs and covers. Their voices and musical songwriting style bring a unique sound. Kurt's rich, deep rocking quality, and Helen's warm soulful touches fill a distinctive sound into our music. Performances are filled with energy and passion, showcasing chemistry on stage.
