NEWTOWN, CT — The Town of Newtown was given a AAA rating by Standard and Poor's Wednesday, the highest rating given by the investment agency, reports the News Times.
The report indicates that Newtown was lauded for its strong management and economy, as well as its budgetary flexibility.
The rating allows the town to borrow funds at low rates.
