Sandy Hook Mural Covered Up in School
The artist created it as a form of therapy and worries that it sends a message that students should forget about the shooting.

A mural of a dream catcher dedicated to the memory of Sandy Hook Elementary School victims was covered up by the administration.
The mural located at Newtown High School was covered up in October after school administration became worried that it would affect student’s ability to recover, according to the Hartford Courant. Superintendent Joseph Erardi Jr. said he knew the decision could prove controversial, but felt it was best for students.
The artist, Lindsay Fuori, 19, created it as a form of art therapy. She said she worries that students are being told to forget and that it’s not healthy for them.
