Sandy Hook Promise Plans 5K Fundraiser Sept. 14
The 5K will take place at scenic Macedonia Brook State Park in Kent.

A 5K race is being planned to help Sandy Hook Promise continue to raise awareness of their mission to “Prevent the causes of gun violence by educating and empowering parents to make changes in their community.”
Lace up your running shoes and join Sandy Hook Promise on Sunday, Sept. 14 for a 5k run to be held at Macedonia Brook State Park in Kent, Conn. The run kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and all proceeds from registration fees will be donated to Sandy Hook Promise.
The race is set in a scenic location and includes a wide running trail, a mostly flat, wide road and some hills and divots. Kids 14 and under can run free.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 9:15 a.m.. Bring along your ID to pick up a race packet. The race starts promptly at 9:30 a.m. Parking at the park may be available, or shuttle busses will be provided. Signs will be posted.
