Search Underway For Missing Dog In Newtown

NEWTOWN, CT — Volunteers are asking for the public’s help locating a missing dog that disappeared this week in Newtown.

According to CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteers, the male lab/pit mix has been missing since Wednesday, May 13, near Merlins Lane in Newtown.

The dog weighs about 70 pounds and was last seen wearing a red leather collar, according to the recovery group.

Volunteers described the dog as timid and skittish and asked residents not to call out to or chase him if spotted.
