Shotgun, Cocaine Seized After Domestic Incident: Newtown PD
A large amount of cocaine and marijuana along with a loaded shotgun were seized, police said.
NEWTOWN, CT — A Sandy Hook man was arrested after he threatened to use a gun during a domestic incident, according to police.
Police arrived at an address on Buttonball Drive Feb. 22 and found an adult victim and the soon-to-be arrestee with minor injuries.
Police recovered a loaded shotgun along with large amounts of cocaine and marijuana from the residence, according to police.

Patrick Laughlin, 32, was arrested and charged with first-degree threatening with a firearm, disorderly conduct, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to sell and possession of a gun in a motor vehicle. He was released on a $10,000 bond.
"Our officers did an excellent job both investigating this incident and making the arrest of this dangerous suspect, this was a significant seizure of both for drugs and a weapon," said Lt, Aaron Bahamonde, police spokesman.
