After 35 years in skincare industry, in Europe and US, Adriana Johnson, senior aesthetician, educator and holistic skincare practitioner, opened the doors to Spa Naturelle at 43 South Main St., in October 2013. As the daughter of a very popular medical doctor and naturopath, Adriana, who grew up in Romania, developed a love for the art of healing using organic and holistic methods from a very young age. "My father is my mentor, and I believe that he would be proud of me, even though I chose a non-medical profession. I still honor his holistic ways as an aesthetician" Ms. Johnson says. Ms.Johnson also brings the benefits of her training under the renown Dr. Ana Aslan Institute of Anti-Aging, who built a reputation developing products to slow the aging process. "Everything I do, takes the skincare to a different dimension.This is not just about looking better, but also the well being as a whole" she says. Ms.Johnson has worked for over 10 years at Ricci's Salon, and her techniques have drawn the attention of numerous clients. Among them is comedian Lisa Lampanelli, who's been a client for over 7 years. Even though she lives in New York, Lisa still enjoys Adriana's holistic treatments.
"It was the time to open my own small spa, as I wanted a place where I could offer a natural and organic alternative to clients" Adriana says. With years of experience in Aesthetic education, Ms. Johnson has trained many aspiring aestheticians as the head instructor at Ricci's Academy. "I am happy that my students are working today, some having their own spa and some even teaching. I have received great results and feel great pleasure from this" she says.
