
Voters in District 1 will be greeted by candidates -- some sporting illuminated campaign signs -- and offers to buy Girl Scout cookies ($4/box).
Once inside they'll become part of what has been a "steady but light" stream of voters at Newtown Middle School today.
As of 5 p.m., 1,043 ballots had been cast -- that's about 18% of the 5,563 registered voters in the district.
"Its been steady but light," says Moderator Nancy Larin.
