Family in government: My wife Sue is the Asst. Republican Registrar of Voters for the town

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Our Mill rate is already over 34 which is ridiculously high. Since our town's tax base is around 90% reliant on residential taxation. We need to change this by bringing more business to our town and by supporting all the business already here.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

The Democrats want to impose higher taxes & costs on families and the work force. The Republicans and myself included will lead the fight to make Connecticut more affordable.

Accomplishments:

My business experience helps qualify me for a position on Board of Finance. -VP of Operations for Atlantic Air Commuter Airlines(family owned & operated. -Retail and management experience in various business - Sales Consultant for Eder Bros. ( 27yrs to present)

Other issues:

-Try to keep taxes low & below inflation. As a town we do not have the ability to print money like the Federal Government. We must be efficient with the money we raise through taxation. -Maintain our AAA Bond rating. Take advantage of low interest rates by continuing to bond for road improvements -Love to see Newtown market more to businesses to create jobs and spur investment in our town. Growing the Grand list is a priority and we must be better at it then surrounding towns.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I want to see Newtown thrive & prosper while maintaining fiscal accountability and keeping its small town feel and sense of community for generations to come.
