A newsletter dated February 2011 was emailed to all parents today from Superintendent of Schools Janet Robinson.
The newsletter contains information on the district's strategic plan and its objectives; an overview of what's new in the area of curriculum; information on the Newtown International Center for Education and plans to welcome delgates from a sister school in China; an explanation of the Common Core State Standards recently adopted by the state; a re-published feature on Kindles at Sandy Hook School; a message from Board of Education chairman Debbie Leidlein; and a reminder on kindergarten registration dates.
