Newtown's Team 26 Sets Off on 600 Mile Trek
The journey to draw attention to gun violence will cover 600 miles through six states, stopping along the way for rallies.

NEWTOWN, CT — The 26 cyclists of Team 26 take off for Pittsburgh Friday morning, on their annual interstate odyssey to draw attention to gun violence and advocate for stronger gun control laws.
The 26 participants are representative of the 26 children and educators who lost their lives in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.
This year the group is focusing on communities of faith, riding with "Charleston, Christchurch, Sutherland Springs, and Oak Creek in our hearts. An attack on one faith is an attack on all faiths," according to their website.
