Team 26 Riding to D.C. for Capitol Rally
They will call for a ban on high-capacity gun magazines and AR-15 rifles.

NEWTOWN, CT ---Team 26, the bicycling gun control advocacy group that formed in the wake of the mass shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012, are on their way to Washington D.C. The team will hold a press conference on Tuesday, May 8 at which time they will call for a ban on high-capacity gun magazines and AR-15 rifles.
The group left Saturday morning following a rally at Edmond Town Hall in Newtown. It is the sixth time the group has made the 400-mile trek to D.C. from Newtown. Their press conference at Capitol Hill, House Triangle, at 2:00 p.m. will follow "meet and greets" at College Park, Maryland and Southeast Washington, according to the agenda on their website.
