Trump Distances Himself from Sandy Hook Truther Pastor

A spokesperson for Trump said that the candidate doesn't share his views on the shooting conspiracy.

Donald Trump distanced himself from a Florida pastor and Sandy Hook truther conspiracy theorist who claimed that the shooting that killed 20 children six adults never happened.

Trump spokesman Hope Hicks said that the campaign wasn't aware of the Rev. Carl Gallups views and that the Trump campaign doesn't share or support them, according to the News-Times.

Jillian Soto, sister of Victoria Soto who died while saving her students posted an open letter from the family to Trump and said that it sickened the family that someone who thinks they can be president of the United States could share the view.

A spokesperson for Gallups disputed that he called the shooting a hoax and that he has had guests on his radio program that have that belief. Here is audio from some of his radio programs.
