Trump Endorsed by Sandy Hook Truther Pastor
Trump was endorsed by the Rev. Carl Gallups, who has repeatedly said the shooting was a staged event.

Donald Trump has picked up another controversial endorsement, this time from the Rev. Carl Gallups, who insists the Sandy Hook shooting never happened.
Gallups is an author, talk show host and the senior pastor of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Milton, Fla.
Trump announced in January press release that it was a "great honor" to be endorsed by Gallups and others in Florida prior to a rally.

Gallups gave the invocation at a Pensacola rally for the hopeful Republican nominee, according to Media Matters.
The pastor has a history of calling the shooting a hoax filled with actors. He claimed David Wheeler and his wife Francine were Hollywood actors during a radio program, according to the New York Daily News.

He went on to claim that Wheeler also acted as an FBI agent. Gallups said he believes the shooting was staged to support gun control.
Among other conspiracy theories he said he believes are that President Barack Obama was born in Kenya and that he has some characteristics of the coming anti-Christ.
