Update: Police Seek Vehicle of Interest in Newtown Shrimp Heist

The suspect stole $650 worth of shrimp from Stop and Shop

Police believe that a suspect who made off with nearly $650 worth of shrimp left the Newtown Stop and Shop in a Gold Chrysler Concorde.

The man went to the store on August 8 and loaded dozens of bags containing shrimp into reusable bags, police said. He left without paying.

He told an employee that he was attending a cookout in Monroe.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with a beard. He was wearing a Yankees hat, black shirt, shorts and black shoes at the time of the theft.
