Vandal & Unlicensed Handyman Top Newtown Police Arrest Log April 10-16

NEWTOWN, CT — A vandal and an unlicensed handyman were at the top of the Newtown police blotter this past week.

On April 12, Southbury police escorted Brushy Hill Road resident Christopher Missano, 43, back to Newtown on a warrant.

The warrant had been issued by the Department of Consumer Protection, stemming from an incident on Oct. 10, 2022. Missano was charged with making or offering to make home improvements without a license.

Missano was released on a promise to appear at Danbury Superior Court on April 25.

On April 10, police charged a juvenile with vandalizing a historic, one-room schoolhouse at Middlegate School at 7 Cold Spring Road.

The widely-circulated surveillance footage recorded on March 2 at around 2:25 a.m. showed two suspects.

The suspect was given a summons for first-degree criminal mischief on April 1, according to police.
