Weekend Police Blotter, Dec. 10 - 12

Berkshire Road: A Subaru, operated by Shannon McCarthy, 18, of 11 Clapboard Ridge Road, lost control and struck some trees while making a turn off of Bennetts Bridge Road onto Berkshire Road at about 3:30 p.m., Friday, police said. Police did not report injuries. McCarthy was issued a warning for traveling too fast for conditions.

Butterfield Road: A GMC pickup, driven by Angel M. Richardson, 21, of 4 Clark St., spun-out on an icy Butterfield Road near Hanover Road and struck a mailbox at about 7:45 a.m., Sunday, police said. He was taken to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries, police said. No enforcement was taken, police said.

Cedar Hill Road: A Nissan, operated by Lif Torrejon, 26, of 2900 Main St., Bridgeport, lost control on Cedar Hill Road as it approached Brushy Hill Road, skidding on the ice and striking a guide wire to a utility pole at about 4 a.m., Sunday, police said. Police reported no injuries. Torrejon was issued a verbal warning for traveling too fast for conditions.

Echo Valley Road: Two window screens were cut and a Christmas wreath was stolen from the garage at 24 Echo Valley Road between 6 and 11 p.m., Saturday, police said. No entry was made into the home, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 203-426-5841.

Hanover Road: Police are investigating a mailbox that was removed from a residence at 114 Hanover Road between 6 p.m., Saturday and 7:30 a.m., Monday, police said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 203-426-5841.

Miya Lane: A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 9:15 a.m., Saturday at 15 Miya Lane following a reported complaint of marijuana use, police said. The teen whom police did not identify because of his age is to appear Dec. 20 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Mount Pleasant Road: Stacey Anne Lloyd, 45, of 24 Pepperidge Road, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and restricted turn after she was observed crossing over the center line and white fog line while traveling east on Mount Pleasant Road at about 1:50 a.m., Sunday, police said. She failed field sobriety tests, police said, and was released on a $100 bond. She is to appear Dec. 23 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Queen Street: Police are investigating the theft of a Christmas tree from the back of a pickup truck parked in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot, 6 Queen St., at about 8:15 p.m., Saturday, officials said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 203-426-5841.

South Main Street: A Volkswagen, operated by Ryan F. Shaw, 19, of 1257 Southford Road, Southbury, collided with a Chevrolet, driven by Gerard J. Reidy, Jr., 38, of 1 Brighton St., Danbury on South Main Street at Abbey Lane at about 4:45 p.m., Friday, police said. Shaw, whom police said became distracted and cross over to the other side of the roadway, was issued a summons for failure to drive right. He also was taken to Danbury Hospital on complaint of pain, police said.

South Main Street: Riwu Chen, 28, of 660 57th St., Brooklyn, was charged with third-degree assault in connection with a domestic dispute that occurred at Pacific Asian Bistro, 123 S. Main St., on Saturday, police said. The victim, who received a cut to his elbow that he said was as a result of a knife thrown at him, was at Danbury Hospital when Newtown police were notified, according to the press release. Chen was released on a promise to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Still Hill Road: A Jeep, operated by Robert Abric, 39, of 87 Berkshire Road, lost control and struck a tree at about 10:15 a.m., Friday, police said. Abric was issued an infraction for restricted turn. Police reported no injuries.

Swamp Road: Jonathan Sanchez, 25, of 487 Ogden St., Bridgeport, was charged with failure to signal for a turn and operating with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop at about 12:50 a.m., Saturday near the intersection of Botsford Hill and Swamp roads, police said. He was released on a promise to appear Jan. 4 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Toddy Hill Road: A Jeep Cherokee, operated by Alfons P. Krivickas, 19, of 164 Cedar St., Seymour, rear-ended an Audi, operated by Gregory Gallagher, 33, of 487 Main St., Norwell, MA, on Toddy Hill Road near the Walsh Mulch facility at about 3:15 p.m., Saturday, police said. Police reported no injuries. Krivickas was issued a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
