Weekend Police Blotter, Sept. 17 - 19

Button Shop Road: A Honda, driven by a 16-year-old Sandy Hook teenager, crashed into three trees and landed in a ditch after trying to avoid striking a deer near 25 Button Shop Road at about 11:20 p.m., Saturday, police said. She reported a cut on her finger but did not go to the hospital, police said.

Georges Hill Road: Police are looking for a vehicle that skid on wet pavement by 76 Georges Hill Road by Pond Brook Road at about 3 a.m. and struck a deer fence and metal beam guardrail, police said. The vehicle left the scene, police said.

Hanover Road: (DUI and underage drinking story)

Main Street: Allen John Heady, 58, of 17 Elberta Drive, Trumbull, was charged with driving with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop for ornamentation obstructing the view at about 5:40 p.m., Sunday on Main Street, police said. He was released on a written promise to appear Sept. 28 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Mile Hill Road South: A Honda motorcycle, driven by Jason Gray, 23, of Tampa, FL, failed to negotiate a right curve on Mile Hill Road South and drove off the northbound shoulder and struck a curb at about 3:22 a.m., Sunday, police said. Gray, who was thrown from the bike, was taken to Danbury Hospital with an injury to his left shoulder and hip, and subsequently released, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

Shut Road: Police are investigating an incident of vandalism to a mailbox late Saturday and early Sunday on Shut Road, officials said.

South Main Street: A Honda, driven by Tara Pierce, 18, of 12 Willow Springs, New Milford, rear-ended a Chevrolet, driven by Paul Hubina, 52, of 3 Sunset Hill Road, at around 1 p.m., Saturday on South Main Street by Orchard Hill Road, police said. No injuries were reported and Pierce was issued a summons for following too closely, police said.
