Sean is one of those unassuming teenagers who doesn’t like to bring attention to himself and is happy to lend a hand whenever called upon.

He’s always been interested in the environment, getting his inspiration from all of the times his mother has taken him fishing.

“He got the bug,” his mother Trish Dardine said. “You’ve got to be patient and he’s extremely patient for that kind of thing.”

So when a friend of his mother recommend that he volunteer with the Conservation Commission helping to remove invasive vines from several of the public trails around town, Sean didn’t hesitate one bit.

He spent hours on the trails removing the unwanted vines, unafraid of the hard work. Sean said he enjoys helping out and loves being outdoors so it was a perfect match.

So the next time you walk a trail uncluttered with invasive vines, you can thank volunteers like Sean.
