A Newtown resident also is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
NEWTOWN, CT — A Newtown resident is $20,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Jan. 6, David Delia claimed a winning "Cash Flurry" ticket he purchased from the Wheels gas station, on Church Hill Road.
The game, which costs $2 per ticket, began in November 2021 but is ending soon, because only one grand prize of $20,000 remains unclaimed.
