• Instructor at CT women's prison charged with sexual assault, police say (stamfordadvocate.com) — A staff instructor at York Correctional Institution in Niantic has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault after an investigation into alleged misconduct with inmates, state police said. The 48-year-old was arrested in Colchester and released on bond, with a court appearance set in New London on October 5 as the investigation continues.
