On Saturday, August 29th, the Sandisfield Arts Center presents "The American Story in Song” performed by the duo Sultana. The show was created for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and weaves history, original songs and a slideshow for a unique look at American history. The show starts at 7 and admission is free. The Sandisfield Arts Center is at 55 Hammertown Rd. in Sandisfield. Sultana is songwriters and musicians Jon and Li Waterman. They have performed their music and history programs as the duo in venues throughout New England as part of their series “Live Music Making History Live.” The series was designed to encourage the celebration and exploration of history through music. The program is supported in part by a grant from the Sandisfield Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
