Amato's demolition and the renovation of STW have been approved and Therrien encourages residents to give blood.

Summer is officially over and fall is certainly in the air here in North Branford and Northford. Town officials, including interim town manager Bonnie Therrien, update Patch readers on recent happenings as well as their favorite thing about autumn.

North Branford Patch: What's new in your department?
Therrien: Two major projects have been approved to move forward by the North Branford Town Council. The demolition of Amato’s and the renovation of Stanley T. Williams into the new Community Center/Senior Center.  The Community Center project should take about 180 days. The exact schedule for the demolition will be known next week.

North Branford Patch: What's something residents need to know?
Therrien: Blood supplies State wide are very low, so remember to donate blood to assist others in need. The American Red Cross has a schedule of dates and times to donate through their website.
