NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The whole idea of the summer blockbuster movie began in 1975 with Jaws.
But another summer blockbuster, about killer whales, won hearts.
In July 1993, Free Willy premiered. The film is about a 12-year-old orphaned boy who befriends a captive orca, also known as a killer whale.
Want to learn more about the killer whale? Come to the Atwater Library on Tuesday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m. Kids ages 6 to 11 will learn about orcas and make their own killer whale to take home.
