NORTHFORD, CT — After being shuttered since early May, the Edward Smith Library is projected to reopen Aug. 5.
The library was closed as a new heating and ventilation system was installed.
"Smith Library’s HVAC project is almost complete," North Branford Public Libraries announced. "We are excited to invite the public back into the building Wednesday, Aug. 5, for normal operating hours. Please note that the August events calendar has been updated to reflect this change. We thank you for your patience."
During the months-long closure, people were able to request materials/place holds on library items, with the Atwater Library as the sole pickup location, but materials could be returned to any public library in Connecticut.
