• Governor, State, Town Officials Gather Tuesday As 37-Acre Site Designated Open Space, Public Recreation Area (patch.com) — North Branford residents are gaining a new 37-acre open space and public recreation area at Beech Street and Pomps Lane, purchased by the local land trust with significant state grant support. Governor Ned Lamont, state environmental leaders, and town officials will gather Tuesday at the site's parking lot to celebrate the acquisition and its long-term benefits for conservation and outdoor access.
