• After 3 Month Closure For New HVAC System Installation, Edward Smith Library Will Again Shutter Briefly: Town (patch.com) — Residents in North Branford's Northford section should plan ahead as the Edward Smith Library will close again from Sept. 21 to 24 so crews can install insulation and finish a major HVAC upgrade. Town officials say the brief shutdown follows a three-month improvement project and is intended to make the library more efficient and comfortable for the community.
   

• Hamden Native Among Diamond Club Hall Of Fame Inductees (patch.com) — A longtime North Branford High baseball coach will be honored this October at the Southern Connecticut Diamond Club Hall of Fame banquet in Branford, highlighting the town's impact on the region's baseball community. The event will also recognize a Special Olympics team and several other local baseball contributors, with tickets available in advance for residents who want to attend.
