Is Your Local Park or School Clean? Thank a Cheerleader!

Members of the North Branford Cheerleading squad answered the call for volunteers on the morning of April 21st for Earth Day clean up, sponsored by the North Branford Hazardous Waste & Recycling Committee. The cheerleaders spread out around the community, picking up trash at North Farms Park, Totoket Valley Park, the North Branford Middle School and the North Branford High School. Squad participants included juniors Savanah Gallipoli and Samantha Whitaker, sophomores Joanna Despotakis, Jessica Raucci and Alexandria Smith, and freshmen Rachael DaCunto and Carly Mastriano.

As Coach Marisa Laudano stated in her season wrap up, the squad not only cheers at games and competes in competitions around the state, but also makes time to give back to the community which has generously supported them in the various fundraising activities.
