Andrew Parfitt Receives St. George Award
Former Branford troop master and Zion Episcopal Church parishioner receives the St. George Award.
On Feb. 17, Andrew Parfitt, a long-time Scout leader in the Lighthouse District of Connecticut Yankee Council BSA and a member of the Zion Episcopal Church parish, received the St. George award, which is granted to an Episcopal church leader who also has worked with youth in a youth organization.
Andrew (center in the group photo) received the award from the Rev. Lucy LaRocca, Zion vicar. He is surrounded by other Scout leaders from the parish and district, as well as several young Scouts whose families belong to the church.

Andrew is the former scout master of Troop 428 in Branford, has chaired several committees for the Lighthouse District Committee and is the parent of two Eagle scouts. The other photo shows Andrew and his wife Debbie in front of the church after the ceremony.
Zion Episcopal Church is located in North Branford at 326 Notch Hill Road. The Lighthouse District includes Scout units from New Haven to Madison.
