Branford Animal Control Officers Rescue Barred Owl In North Branford
Shout-out to ACOs Dawn Buffone and Ellie Bloomquist for saving this barred owl with netting stuck arounds his talons in North Branford.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Animal control officers Dawn Buffone and Ellie Bloomquist are credited with saving a barred owl that had netting stuck in and around its talons, according to a Facebook post from Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter.
“While we understand netting is awesome for sports such as soccer etc ..please put them away after you finish using them. Our feathered friends become entangled in them quite frequently and end up in precarious situations.
Our good friends at A Place Called Hope have taken this gorgeous bird in to help rehabilitate and release once he's ready!”
