Bank To Open New Branch In Northford
The new branch will be the bank's eighth location.
NORTHFORD, CT — GSB will open a new branch at 1409 Middletown Ave. at the intersection of Routes 17 and 22, according to a statement from the company. The new branch will open in mid-October.
The building will be staffed with local banking, lending, and business experts.
"We are excited to celebrate the opening of another new branch to help better serve the community’s business and personal banking needs, as our Connecticut footprint continues to expand," Timothy Geelan, GSB president and CEO, said in a statement. "This a great opportunity to work with the residents and businesses of all sizes in Northford, North Branford and beyond, as we become trusted partners with the community."

Established in 1875 as "The Guilford Savings Bank," the new branch office is GSB’s eighth location. The bank operates existing full-service banking centers in Old Saybrook, Madison, North Madison, Guilford Green, Guilford Plaza, Branford, and North Haven, which recently opened in March 2021.

Jeff Hanrahan has been named as branch manager of the Northford branch office. Hanrahan brings over six years of experience in banking and branch leadership.
