North Branford Residents Continue Charter Revision Petition Drive

North Branford, CT — Activated Citizens of North Branford are continuing their petition drive to request that the Town Council establish a Charter Revision Commission.

The petition seeks to collect 1,000 signatures from registered North Branford residents. To date, more than 500 signatures have been collected, and volunteers are working to reach the remaining 500 signatures needed.

A Charter Revision Commission provides residents with an opportunity to review the Town Charter, consider potential changes, and make recommendations for the future governance of North Branford. The petition does not change the Charter itself. It asks the Town Council to seat a commission so the review process can begin.

Organizers say they are encouraging residents from all backgrounds and viewpoints to participate.

"Whether you're concerned about taxes, want a stronger voice in local government, have concerns about public safety or housing, or simply believe it's time to review how our local government operates, we invite you to be part of the conversation and sign the petition," said organizers of the petition drive.

Because the town is not involved in promoting citizen-led petitions, organizers are relying on volunteers, word of mouth, and community members to help spread the word.

Residents are encouraged to sign the petition and share the opportunity with friends, family, and neighbors.

For more information or to arrange a time to sign the petition, please contact:

Together, we can ensure that residents have an opportunity to participate in shaping the future of North Branford.
