Date Set For North Branford 2017-18 Budget Referendum
Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Voters in North Branford will cast ballots on May 9 in the town's 2017-18 budget referendum from noon to 8 p.m.
The following question is on the ballot:
"Shall the Town Council Recommended Budget of $50,558,303, which will require a mill rate of 33.51 mills, be adopted?”

The recommended budget represents an increase of 1.53 mills about the current mill rate of 31.98, and despite the increase in mill rate, next year's budget is more than $440,000 less than the current year's allocation of $50,998,927.

Voters will cast ballots in one of two polling sites:
DISTRICT 1: Jerome Harrison Elementary School, 335 Foxon Road – Route 80 North Branford
DISTRICT 2: Stanley T. Williams Community Center, 1332 Middletown Ave. – Route 17 Northford
